26 Letter's, Flower's & Ladies"

(thinking out loud)
As I've spent the past few days brainstorming, I've been doodling various things in my Art Journal. I came up with a new idea today as I was drawing. I've decide to do an Alphabet where I can incorporate my faces, flowers and patterns. My sister is expecting a baby girl and I got to thinking about doing a piece of art for her. They say that babies are stimulated by black and white images so this is where the black and white comes in. I want to create some lettering that can be used with any color schemes whether it be in a nursery or someones living room. Black and white will do just that. Here is the first one, letter "A"!

Now that's what I call "A" hair-do! "A"pril will be all about letter's for me(O:

"Lady Violet"

"Lady Violet" was inspired by some recent Art Nouveau pieces I recently saw. I have always been drawn to that style of Art. I began a new Art Journal but wasn't pleased with the way the 2 page spreads were scanning so I started again. This time I am actually working on a single page at a time and I'm working in a spiral bound Journal, this way I can add my layers and paper tiles to each piece and the bind of the Journal is much more forgiving as the pages become thicker. This is the first piece completed and I've listed it in my Etsy Shop. I love the way an image changes just by cropping it in different ways.

I have a feeling I may be changing my banner again soon. I'm just not completely satisfied with the one I have up there now.

Art Nouveau

"New Art" This is a new style I am eager to explore in my own style of course. I started this journal yesterday but I'm not sure I'm happy with the way the two page spread looks once it's scanned. It seems like the left side is not as clear as the right side. I may reconstruct this journal so each piece is on a single page but this is what I played around with.

What better way to incorporate my love for faces and patterns(O:

"Paper Collage Journal Page"

I'm so happy, now that I have my scanner up and running, I was able to scan this new journal page before I wrote on it. Now I can print many more of this very page. It doesn't take much to get me all excited, it's just......well, it's my first scanner and I've always wanted one for this very reason!
Have a happy day everyone!

A smaller doll "Jade"

I tried a new pattern but I think I prefer the larger dolls. This is "Jade" my Yoga doll. Here are a few photos of her as well as a visual of my Art Doll brainstorm in my journal.
