Inspired by a movie!

Yesterday I took my girls to go and see "The Chronicles of Narnia III" and in one of the scenes the character Lucy was in a mansion and came across this amazing book with a lock, it was gilded with gold and ornate embellishments from front to back. All I could think of was how amazing it would be to have a journal so beautiful. I have set out to create one in a smaller scale but this is the start.

  1. After reading your post, I know I MUST go and see Narnia III. I can't wait to see that journal. I make those type of journals often-the more mysterious the better. I think you are off to a great start on yours. I can't wait to see what your do with your zentangle pages and front and back of journal! Exciting.

  2. What an awesome project, Rebecca! Don't you just LOVE "fantasy" in all of it's wonderful forms?!? Hugs, Terri xoxo

  3. Extraordinary journal art Rebecca - the magic of film and books make the imagination soar. Wishing you and yours the very best this Holiday season!

  4. I'm so glad, that you are online again, I missed you and your inspiring creativity.
Hope you and your family are glad in the new home.

  5. you and me both!! I think old books like that hold such mystery and magic. Your drawing definetly has that feel too- what a great start!
OH, and I love, love your light switch covers!

  6. I haven't seen the movie yet but I hope to soon. I love the idea of this journal and I love your first entry

  7. oh rebecca, i love your point of inspiration!!!
ohhhh, can i also be your friend gilded in gold?!
flying beside you in such a world..xox

  8. You are just like me....your creative mind is always and fully aware of inspirations all around! I'm sure you will do wonders with your new creative mission! Can't wait to see it ... the start looks incredible!

Here's talking about new beginnings today....see ya!
    ciao bella!
