"Dreaming With Angels"

I'm not sure what it is but as much as I love color, I am really drawn to creating black and white images lately. I guess it helps me focus more on the composition of the piece rather than what color I'm going to use next. This is a two page spread I've been working on for the past few days.

I thought it would be interesting to blend my realistic and whimsical style images.

I love to crop images I create, it turns it into a totally different piece.

I thought this image was interesting once I cropped it so I decided to use it as my Blog Banner. What do you think? I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

  1. You have to feel quite excited about this work, it is a great combination of whimsy and reality, so much like the thoughts that pass with us each day. I can almost feel the angel near me as I think of what I just said. Things aren't quite real for me now so it makes perfect sense. Such a great idea, such beautiful work.

  3. Beautiful- it makes for a wonderful 'wow' type blog banner. The black and white sets an artistic mood that really enables the viewer as you point out to focus on the art and not be distracted . Wonderfully crafted Rebecca!
