"I've been bit by the EMBROIDERY BUG"

For the love of a needle and thread(O:

I have been so busy with my embroidery. I really feel like I've been bitten by the "Embroidery Bug".

I've been making more dazzling diva's" which I will post photos of when they are complete. I have all these visions in my head of things I want to do with this medium. I've even thought about embroidering a journal. (I know this has been done but it never triggered the ah ha........wowza factor within me before) Why are there only 24 hours in a day. There is so much I want to do and not enough time. How cool would that be to actually embroider illustrations and writings onto a fabric and have a fabric journal. That would have to be a life project as it would be very time consuming but so rewarding to look through! Sorry to ramble and also for the post with no photos. I promise some photos of my latest soon!!

  1. I can see why, the barretts are so pretty, anyone could wear them. I also like the head band your wearing in the photo to the right.
those lovely designs add to ones spirit on these drab days and there have been some really drab days, so to spark it with artful hair art is a good idea.

I enjoyed your photos of the ice sculptures also, they could be in danger this weekend.

I have sort of been bitten by the quilting bug and have started a quilting journal. Not much written word just the fulfilling impulse of working with fabric which I feel the need to do several times a year, that includes yarns and floss, also must not forget ribbon. The yarn that one finds these days is really an art in itself.

  2. I can feel your excitement in your beautiful embroidery and latest projects Rebecca- it is so fun to get into a new medium - the ideas just keep expanding and growing from each other. I so look forward to keeping up with your visions!

  3. You can hear the excitement in you words. I love that feeling. Can not wait to see what blossoms, because it is going to be good. Hugs Joji

  4. I love doing embroidery--it's so much fun deciding what the next stitch and color will be!

  5. I so admire embroidery - yet - sadly, I'm thread challenged. All I have to do is look at it, and it automatically tangles into a ball of knots!!! Can't wait to see what you're up to! Hugs, Terri xoxo

  6. your 'ramble', as you put it....was delightful! and I couldn't agree with you more on both counts!

there should be more time in a day!
and an embroidered journal would take a lifetime to create...wowza!

    ciao bella
