"Penny Lane Projects" Vibrant colors!!

I hope everyone is off to a good start for 2011. I haven't been blogging a whole lot lately only because I'm really trying to transform my house. I have painted a few more rooms. I'm not sure why but I just have to have vibrant colors surrounding me. It's really starting to feel cozy now!!
This is a little section of our tangerine bedroom!

This is the back corner of my avocado green and rich pink studio.

Here is a photo of the raspberry landing at the top of the stairs.

& then a little glimpse over the railing from my studio overlooking our purple family room.

This is the ground floor family room, I thought this purple would make my elephant painting pop. I never would have picked purple but I pulled it out of my paintings and thought I'd give it a whirl. I actually like(O: I may have gone a little nuts with color but it makes me so happy..............call me crazy! When I traveled to India a couple of years ago everything was vibrantly painted. They wouldn't think twice about painting their doorsteps turquoise. I guess their passion for color has rubbed off on me.

  6. I absolutely love it! I would do it myself if it weren't for the fact that I'm married to a "beige" husband.

  10. A lot to see today, all the great art work on the right side of your blog then seeing it on those beautiful walls, it takes courage that all will be beautiful when one chooses those colors, and doesn't it make everything seem rich, warm and so inviting. I really had a great visit.
It helped distract me as I am waiting for my daughter to arrive and the weather of course is not good, it has been snowing all morning.

  15. Hey good for you! I went through a colourful stage too a few years back, but now I'm into white and light and bright and tranquil and serene! lol

again, it's the mark of an artist to transform ourselves, right! Your home looks like a gallery I'd like to visit! You should host an open house, one for your locals to visit, and a virtual tour of your home with all of your marvellous paintings! That would be so cool!

Have a cheery and bright day!

    Ciao Bella!
